Membership Meeting – Minutes
October 19, 2016

The meeting was called to order by First Vice President Judy Landon in Marlene Murray’s absence who was attending the Florida Neighborhoods Conference on behalf of CONA.

Judy introduced special guests David Flintom and Aaron Carmella.

Judy announced that the Nominating Chairman David Hoover has resigned and that Kathy Murphy Posey has been nominated to fill the position. A motion was made and seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

David Flintom and Aaron Carmella spoke on the SeeClickFix program. Since it’s origination, there have been 31,349 submissions to SeeClickFix, with the average length to close an issue being 66.8 days. The categories and number of issues reported were: Codes 10,586; Sanitation 6,492; Potholes 1,358; Grafitti 450 issues reported. Suggestions were made to provide follow up to individuals and to issues that were sent back for improper addresses.

Judy Landon reviewed a number of the Land Design Regulations that have been proposed by numerous neighborhoods. With the goals of maintaining the character and integrity of neighborhoods, a motion was made in support of the goals of the group. The motion was seconded and passed without opposition.

It was announced that the CONA holiday party and elections will be on
December 14th.

In neighborhood sharing it was announced that Historic Roser Park has gotten power to use at events in Roser Park, and will begin hosting events that were historically hosted in their neighborhood. Kenwood’s Bungalow Fest will take place on November 5th. Jennifer Jeorn will be having a speaker at the Disston Heights meeting who will address ZIKA and what neighborhoods can do to prevent the spread of the virus. Euclid St. Paul will be hosting their 13th Annual Haunted House with tickets available at St. Pete’s Bark.

A motion was made and seconded; the meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
