On Nov 18, 6:30 pm, the Community Planning & Preservation (CPPC) will hold the first public hearing on a city-initiated application requesting that the Future Land Use Map designation for approximately 157 acres in Boyd Hill park be amended from Recreation/Open Space to Preservation, and the official zoning map be amended from Neighborhood Suburban Estate to Preservation.
The CPPC will also address the Capital Improvements Element.
The first public hearing will also be held for a city-initiated request to amend the Land Development Regulations pertaining to the Historic Preservation Ordinance. The following changes are proposed:
1) Application for District Designation (50%+1 rather than 2/3 of property owners.
2) Notification of District Designation (votes can be hand delivered)
3) Demolition of Potentially Eligible Local Landmarks
4) Transfer of Development Rights (using actual square footage rather than a multiplier)
5) Criteria for regulating alterations of local landmarks
The meeting will be held in Council Chambers at City Hall. The full agenda is available on the city's website at:
http://www.stpete.org/community_planning...111814.pdf
Anyone interested in these proposed changes should attend.
